Lagtime is a three-piece, improv–fusion band. Our music is rooted in rocky fusion, but spans topics such as jazz, funk, reggae and blues. We live mostly down deep in the pocket, but with the liberating guidance of jazz, we make brief re–surfacings to the head to remind you of where you (we) are.

With us, interplay is the name of the game as each member feeds off the others. Rock-solid beats and jazzy tendencies open the door for groove–based, blues–inspired bass lines and a tapestry of infectious melodies and rock–god solos.

Inspired by the likes of David Gilmour, Trey Anastasio, John Scofield, Rush, Elvin Jones, Scott Amendola, Stanley Clark, Herbie Hancock, Charlie Hunter, Will Bernard, Charles Mingus, Willie Dixon, etc., Lagtime brings a healthy mixture of improvisational covers and originals for your listening pleasure.
